Red Cross information booth fundraiser-- baked goods collection & postermaking

For the month of April, several events are going to be taking place working towards a week of information booth events that will raise money for the American Red Cross. As the ARC club at TPHS, we will be working hard to raise money for not only our club budget, but also for our club's chapter (towards the Measles Initiative and Japan earthquake and tsunami relief) as well.

For the information booth, we shall be informing the students at our school and the general public about the ARC and our club's cause. Along with giving out information and pamphlets on the Red Cross, we will also be taking this opportunity to fundraise. Merchandise will be sold, with profits all going to the Red Cross, as well as regular donations collected in a donation box. Preparations leading up to the event also form miniature events of their own. Postermaking and baked goods collection will be some of these events.

2 UPCOMING EVENTS:

Baked goods collection will be the entire week after spring break!
The week after spring break we'll be collecting baked goods for the information booth, so that they'll be fresh and ready for sale. If you would like to help out and donate baked goods, please email tpredcross@gmail.com with what you plan on donating, so that we can figure out exactly how much food we have for the sale. You can also fill out the online event form.

Postermaking is NEXT WEEK on April 6th and April 7th after school. Meet in the Science hallway (where Mrs. Olson's biology classroom is).
To advertise the bake sale we will be making numerous posters and ads! Show up after school ready to write and draw. Sign up by email, or by using the online event form. It is also okay if you decide at the last minute to come.

For any event, you can always fill out the online "Event Sign-Up Form" to tell us that you plan on attending the event. You will also definitely receive community service hours/credits for donating your time to a good cause

Feel free to email us with any questions, comments, or concerns! Thanks for being a part of the club.

(2011-2012 School Year) TPHS Red Cross Club, Membership Applications

Please take some time to fill out the newly available membership application form for the Red Cross club, so that the new board members (when they are appointed) will have all the necessary information on how to reach you for different things. This way you can also be emailed when needed with news on upcoming events, and general club information/news.

Since the Red Cross club at TPHS is relatively small, we felt it was more efficient to essentially start fresh, so even if you have been a member this past year (thank you so much), please make sure that you enter in your information for the new leadership of the club to have. If you fill out the form now, you do not need to do it again next school year during Club Day (since you signed up now ahead of time), and will officially be a member of the club for the rest of this year. Thank you very much for being a part of the TPHS Red Cross Club!
