Lifeguard Games

The American Red Cross Aquatics Initiative is diving into the 2011 summer season with our annual Lifeguard Games competition on Sunday, July 31 at the Ned Baumer Aquatic Center. The Lifeguard Games will bring together certified lifeguards from over 100 swimming pools in San Diego and Imperial Counties and will allow the lifeguards to showcase their lifesaving and water safety skills in a series of team and individual events.This family friendly event is a great opportunity for adults and children to spend a day cheering on local teams and learning the importance of water safety.

*For volunteers the event starts at around 7:15AM!

River Cleanup and Community Beautification

Help the environment and the community by picking up litter and being cleanup and beautification crew. [Waiver must be signed (required to also be signed by parents if under 18): check Downloads page on the extended website; it will also be emailed to you if you RSVP/sign up.]

Carlsbad Triathlon

Be a volunteer and help out at the water station during the Carlsbad Triathlon event on July 10th.  Fill water cups and pass out water to athletes. Report injuries, and give support.

JFS Food Pantry Events

When: Sundays from 10:00AM- 12:00PM

Where: 8804 Balboa Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123

What: Volunteers work in the pantry to sort donations, stock food shelves, and assemble food bags. Pantry volunteers should try and bring $5 or five cans of food each time you volunteer. *COORDINATOR: Lucy Ahn

Cooking With Love - Ronald McDonald House Charities

When: June 12, 2011 (Sunday), from 3:00PM- 6:00PM

Where: Ronald McDonald House

What: Volunteers are needed to help set up and then clean up after the event. Everyone will get a chance to meet the executive Chef cook. Maximum of 10 volunteers needed for this event. *COORDINATOR: Rachael Lee

• Our FINAL club meeting of this school year will be Tuesday, June 7th! Come to Mrs. Olson's room for this very last club meeting.
