Ways to get to your 30 hour requirement before the 2012-2013 school year ends!

Hey guys,

For those of you still trying to get those last few hours before the school year ends, here are some suggestions (and opportunities) to do so!

Besides the April community volunteering events, the following are a few ways to earn some spare hours with minimal effort on your part. ;)

1. Submit an "Event Review" detailing a past event you attended with our club. Each submitted review is worth one hour. CLICK HERE to access the form.
2. Submit photos that you took at a past event you attended with our club. Each submitted batch of photos is worth one hour. Email these photos to tpredcross@gmail.com, our club email.
3. Donate books to our book drive. The more you donate, the more hours you will receive. There is no limit to the amount of hours you can earn from donating books! Email to set up a turn-in appointment time.
4. Find and attend an event on your own. Generally there is a registration booth where you can pick up an hours confirmation letter to prove you worked for a specific amount of time. You can then turn in this form, or email it in, to get those hours into your TPHS ARC hours count. (Limit: ten hours earned using this method.)

Also, there will still be some club activities you can participate in to earn some final hours.

1. We will be holding a community-wide fundraiser with the other Red Cross clubs in our chapter from May to June, which will require volunteers to perform various tasks (ex: print flyers, distribute flyers, promote the event, etc.).
2. Send in a video to be included in a Red Cross promotion by WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17, 2013. Video should be short, with you answering the following questions: (1) Why do you volunteer with the Red Cross? and (2) What keeps you coming back? Send the video to tpredcross@gmail.com, our club email.

Feel free to email and ask for any other methods you can use to earn your final hours before our school year concludes. Thank you for your participation and dedication to TPHS ARC and the American Red Cross in general.
