Other Volunteer Opportunities
- Blood Drive Shifts
- Volunteers work at the check-in/registration table and interact with the blood donors
- Send hours of availability to tpredcross@gmail.com to start the registration process as a volunteer at one of the upcoming blood drives
- Fall Red Cross Project - Holiday Mail for Heroes
- We'll be collecting holiday mail to send to troops overseas!
- Phase one is art supply collection, so if you have any stray art supplies sitting around at home, please bring some in for donation
- We're beginning phase two now, which is the card-making stage, so stay tuned for after-school card-making sessions information that will be released soon
- If you cannot make it to these sessions, feel free to take your own initiative and make your own cards at home (following the rules/guidelines listed on our project page)
- If for some reason you don't have enough time to do either of these things, you can always show your support by donating $1.50 to buy a holiday card that will be sent to the troops on your behalf; you will have the ability to customize your card's message in any way you would like, and in this way you will still be sending a card for the cause!
- Email tpredcross@gmail.com to learn more or buy a card
- See's Candy Fundraiser
- Our club is selling See's Candies for our winter fundraising project; the highest seller will be rewarded with an awesome Red Cross prize
- Order forms are available under "Downloads" on the extended website (click "More" on the left-hand side of the website); please turn in your order forms by the end of November so all holiday candy will be delivered before winter break
- Each club member is STRONGLY recommended to sell the MINIMUM requirement of 2-3 boxes/orders of chocolate/candy from the flyer
- Chargers Blood Drive
- There will be a Chargers Blood Drive after school on November 22, 2011 (Tuesday) from 3:30PM to 6:30PM; we'll be working in the Entertainment Room (which is a ton of fun), and at the end volunteers receive all the free merchandise they want from the room
- This is a special event, so to sign up you must email the club president directly (contact information of all board members is available on our website)
- Partnership with TP Relief Team - fundraising for the UNICEF Tap Project
- Our club will be helping TP Relief Team with an upcoming bake sale, where money raised will go to the UNICEF Tap Project to deliver safe water to places that don't have access to any
- Baked goods collection (hours will be given for donations) will be December 2nd, while the actual bake sale (will be needing volunteers) will take place December 3rd
- Also for the TP Relief Team project, we are selling boba on December 1st after school; if you don't want to get there on that day and find that the boba has run out, place a reservation by the end of next week by emailing tpredcross@gmail.com!
- We are the CSF Club of the Month for November!
- If you are in CSF, you can gain credits from participating in any of our November events, including our special projects such as Holiday Mail for Heroes and the See's Candies fundraiser
- Red Cross Club Shirts/Hoodies
- We will possibly be ordering either Red Cross Club shirts or hoodies based on interested members, so let us know if you are; you can check the design on the powerpoint presentation available on our Downloads page
